Welcome to the OCs!

We are a welcoming, established cricket club that has been awarded Clubmark (an ECB and Sport England recognised quality mark) and also an Essex County Cricket Board Focus Club for the area.

We cater for all experience and abilities. Our Saturday 1st, 2nd, 3rd XI who play in the Premier, Division 3 and Division 8 f the T-Rippon Mid Essex League. For the more social player, we have a Saturday 5th Friendly XI who play other friendly teams in the local area. We also have a Ladies XI who play in the T20 Beaumont Seymour League on a Friday night.

Our Youth Section is also ever increasing in size. We have Under 11, 13 and 15 teams who play in the local youth leagues. We are an ECB Accredited All Starts Cricket Centre and we run All Stars Sessions on a Saturday morning for boys and girls aged 5-8 to help them learn about cricket in a fun and informal way. All teams and coaching sessions are run by ECB qualified coaches who have been DBS checked. 

Whilst we have a team of coaches and club officials who look after things on the pitch, our social team look after events off the field using our large, state-of-the art clubhouse as a backdrop!

We have indoor training in the winter and outdoor coaching / training throughout the summer - cricket is a great way to learn new skills or develop existing ones, keep fit and socialise. Whether you are already an experienced cricketer or have never picked up a cricket bat before, we want to hear from you.

We also love to tour annually. In 2016 we visited the Kent Coast and in 2018 we visited Suffolk. 

We have a dedicated Youth Cricket Manager and Youth Development Officers to ensure that any possible concerns about child welfare issues are dealt with promptly and confidentially. We also have 2 Club Welfare Officers.
